Setting up a new wired network for existing computers. Objective is 1. Accounting data under Quickbook and MecWise Distribution software being shared by few instead of the current residence at Accountants desktop;2. Go daddy web mail data base to be backed up in a server-has records of 7 years.
Existing wired network can access Internet.
Router download speed 10 mbps.

All our computers are Dell numbering 7.
What is the ideal spec for Server.

Solution
That server will be just fine for 10 user. Max out the RAM in the thing and make sure you have a backup setup and redundancy, probably with a RAID 5 setup (need minimum 3 drives).

You may want a better CPU for a server or you may end up with people complaining about response times, i5 would be better.
