Hi guys.
My Graphics card is the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760M. It has a default core clock speed of 628 mHz, however i'm seeing other versions of the same graphics card at mostly 980 mHz as their default clock speed. Is there something wrong? Or is my GPU just an older version? Or am i not doing something right?

Solution
your laptop make and model have much to do with the core clock. each model laptop has a difference cooling design, fan location, other parts to consider, different thickness, or different advertised battery life. the higher the gpu core clock on the 760m, the more power it will consume and can dramatically lower battery life and overall power consumption.

you could try overclocking it, but i wouldn't recommend it for normal use unless you are using a good laptop cooler and can confirm the gpu still has some thermal headroom and will not thermally throttle itself.
