Hello! I have ordered a laptop specifically the ASUS ROG GL551JM-DH71.
In case you are too lazy to search for the laptop here are the specs:
Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz)
16GB Memory
1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
1920 x 1080
Windows 8.1 64-Bit
DL DVD±RW/CD-RW
So what I'm asking here today is if it can run BF 3 at its native resolution(1920x1080) at least 30 FPS?
I am not really concerned about the graphics because I'm used to playing 800x600 resolution at the lowest settings
on my old laptop but if I can turn up some notches then thats a bonus for me.
Thanks in advance and have a great day!

PS: Don't say just get a desktop instead or laptops suck etc etc.I have a gaming desktop at my home
but I mainly play on the laptop for mobile purposes and I like to lie on my bed while playing.

I wish I could answer your question more specifically but maybe this will help.

*Sees ROG*

Yes it can run Battlefield 3.

*Sees GTX860M 2GB*

Yes it can run it well.

You'll be fine. I know you're excited for this laptop, that's ok. But it's too soon to have buyers remorse now. Don't worry, you made a good investment and you'll be gaming on the high end in no time.

Thanks for the input. At what settings and how many FPS? I don't play really demanding games(except for ARMA)
just as long I can play with BF3,I'm fine with it.If I can play 2014 games fluently, then it is just a bonus :p

On that page, they show that the GTX 860M can run Battlefield 4 on HIGH settings at 71 fps. Taking from that, I'd say that this GPU could run the last gen iteration of Battlefield as well as you're hoping. You're good!

You should see and compare yourself, if a system can play the latest gen of a game, it can run the prev gen too.
