The obvious solution might be to just uninstall the Windows Updates, but initially what happened is I shut down the PC as usual and Windows updates installed or so I thought. The next day, I tried booting up and the PC wouldn't boot up, but I heard the fans and lights were on. I looked and had 00 code, which I believe is no CPU detected or something similar, so I pressed and held power to shut off, then tried again. I think, this time I got a 02 code then it restarted on its own and booted into Windows. Then I played around and couldn't figure out what had happened because I forgot about the updates and shutdown, this time I noticed when the updates were installing it said Failed, recovering/restoring settings and shutdown I believe normally.

If I remember correctly, I had to do the above again to get into Windows. This time, I saw all the failed updates and tried selecting only 4 of 16 which produced the same result, so then I tried just doing all the security patches which worked. Then I did the next 3 as the .Net one failed. Now, my PC was starting up fine, however anytime I shutdown it always says its installing an update although I left the .NET one unchecked and there shouldn't be anything installing, but it says its successful and shutting down, Windows goes off and monitors go blank saying no video input. However, the PC is still on and I believe I am getting a constant 05 error everytime I have shutdown. This has happened 3-4 times and I can't seem to figure out why.

Any ideas? I did build this PC myself, but over a year ago and have not had any issues like this until now. The updates are the latest from patch Tuesday on 11 Nov 2014 I believe as I didn't get to these until the weekend. Unfortunately, I am away from the PC and don't have the exact updates currently.

Thanks, I will give it a try as this morning, I had it give 00 codes twice and no updates have taken place. Starting to wonder if HW is failing or need an update to BIOS. It seems strange that the Windows updates caused this and though there may have been a different solution. I will let you know how it goes.
