I have a HP 625 laptop. Here is the system information:

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB
Total Physical Memory 2.74 GB
Available Physical Memory 1.24 GB
Total Virtual Memory 5.49 GB

Running this website and a youtube video, here is the HWMonitor diagnostics:

Hewlett-Packard 1475:
CPUZ Temp... 49 - 71

AMD K10:
Core#0... 49 - 71
Core#1... 49-71
Powers= 19.57W
Battery: Current Volatge... 12.615V

It is heating up crazily and often overheats, I plan to replace the RAM with 8GB and possibly buy a new fan. I sit it on top of a USB powered laptop cooling station. I run alot of DAWs such as Ableton Live and Reaper.

Solution
More RAMs (and an SSD) will help.

You likely need to re-seat the sink/fan on the CPU with some new TIM, and blow out all the dust/dirt. That laptop has some age on it.

Cleaning it out and/or replacing a fan could help, but that CPU is just underpowered for modern use. Your CPU and GPU are probably running at close to 100% to process the youtube video. If that's the case, there is not much you can do.
I doubt that the memory increase will help. Press control-shift-escape at the same time to open the task manger. Click on the "Performance" tab to see how much memory you are using. If the green bar for memory use is all the way at the top then adding more memory could help. If it's not then adding more memory will make little difference.
On that same tab, you can see how much your processor is being used. If that is high during normal use, there is little you can do to keep things from overheating and slowing down.

The most annoying problems with the most amd cpu the grow so :fou: .i.e. so hot .even though u spend a lot for a good processor than u have to spend more on its coolers .u mast chk for clean heatsink and fan .Most importantly don't spend on 8GB ram for now.if u see a lot of cpu and ram process is going on chk for background applications running without ur knowledge and close them down.If ur prb is solved sure to notify me .till then good luck
