Hi, my Laptop that I bought a year ago was not really designed for playing games. So I am thinking about building my own computer for around £300 for only playing Minecraft (Max settings at at least 60fps) and maybe even other games but at lower settings. I was considering an AMD A10 6800k/7700K/7850k or a Pentium G3258 with a graphics card like 250X/260X. I don't need an Operating System or Monitor. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

is intended for a MineCraftMachine computer construction course. It is a little overbuilt to allow for upgrading to a full-function computer by adding any GPU up to a GTX970.

Really? Minecraft could probably run with a Pentium G3258 haha.

Windows 8.1 64bit
Intel i7 4790K @ 4.7Ghz
12Gb DDR3 1600 RAM
AsRock Z97 Killer Motherboard
Evga Geforce GT740 4gb
Corsair H60
Evga 750 watt PSU
1TB WD Caviar Blue

This one is more expensive than most, just under $1000. On minecraft I have topped out at 2479 FPS. With everything on high I still get 200FPS. But minecraft is a really light game. Ive ran it on a Dell Dimension 8400 before while running at 10FPS so you could just buy a really cheap computer off of amazon and it will be good

£300 = USD $471.53, you're about $530 over budget there.

From the OP
for only playing Minecraft

And you're suggesting an i7, 12GB RAM, and a 750W PSU? For twice the price of what he wanted?
Why?

Since the system is relying on the iGPU for graphics, the Pentium is marginal at best, and probably needs to be overclocked, which can cause issues. This system has been gone over by the experts, who agree that it's the right configuration. There's a Minecraft Machine Challenge thread for more details.

For the most part, an A-6 can run minecraft around 40 fps.
A10 shouldn't have any trouble running minecraft, but don't expect to run any heavy games (etc. Battlefield 4, COD AW, etc)
