I've been having a strange issue with my mouse in first person shooter games where I end up snapping to look straight down at the floor while making fast horizontal motions, as seen in this video (the trippy horizontal flicking isn't the bug itself, just me trying to make it happen);

It's fairly intermittent, but pretty gamebreaking when it happens (imagine trying to 180 to fire at an enemy who's behind you but you end up shooting at your own feet instead).
I'm using a Logitech Proteus Core at 800dpi with a 1000hz polling rate.
Sometimes when it happens I can see the windows cursor flickering on screen over my game window, which leads me to believe it may be a software problem.
