I recently purchased a Benq XL2411Z and cannot for the life on me get it to run high than 60 hz. I have a DVI dual-link cable that came with the monitor AND bought a new one to see if that was the issue. There is no option to select higher than 60 hz for 1920x1800 in the advanced settings for resolution OR the Nvidia control panel. When I click "list all modes" it shows a lot of different lower resolutions and color options which some show the availability of 120hz, but none 144hz.

Something odd that happened was when I created a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel to 1920x1800@120hz and it ran very noticeably at 120 hz (extremely smooth ect.) BUT the monitor gets a constant error message saying "Incorrect cable. Please use the DVI dual-link cable that came with your monitor." and also cut out and went black for a few second about every minute. again, I am positive I tried 2 good dual-link cables.

I have reinstalled my graphics driver already.

GPU: GeForce GTX 650 Ti
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8120

I'm so stumped. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
