How is this gaming build for Ultra on 4k

Solution
If you are going to be using this system on wireless, get a better adapter. Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833389019#Item=N82E16833389019

For gaming power, you can't really get better right now so it should run at 4k resolutions as good as anything.

Comparing PCs to consoles is a bit useless, PC games scale up to higher resolution and tend to have better detail at high settings. But you can't really compare them side by side very well since console games are made to run on that specific console and the hardware in consoles is designed for a specific purpose.

If you are trying to decide between the computer and a PS4, the computer is 4x the price, anyone that is undecided between a console...

another reason for why a console might be better is that consoles have forcefeed back and that isnt on a keyboard and mouse to any which i have noticed anyways

FOR the computer it will run 4k on GTA V and maybe a few other very new titles but as hang-th-9 said the PC will be much more expenive for not alot more detail as not alot of games are actually designed for 4k so you will have to probably get a texture mod for that to look good in 4k as 4k will just be upscaled 1080p or 1440p on the PC some extra details but not enough to make it useful.
the PS4 is turning out to be the better console for what you have said but if you are more into PCs that PC is upgradeable ... to an extent enough to get you pretty good preformance on it for the next 4~7 years before a major system overall is in order. In that i am assuming you will do the basic thing of video card upgrades ever 3~4 years to stay with the times in VRAM, driver version realiablity with the games, and GPU articture API suits if going with nVidia anyways.

i thought a 980sli config with a cpu 4790k would get you there.
Lucky for me i haven't entered the face: "i want 4k, i need 4k, gimme 4k, i will hold my breath till i get 4k, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii".

Trying to figure out the custom items you added at the bottom. They make no sense, being there. Xeon 1231v3 over the 4790. Added cost isn't worth it. No need for the water cooler either. A coolermaster hyper TX3 can handle the job. Unless you plan on adding a 3rd card, for SLI, that board is more than necessary too. 3x sli scales kinda horribly. You planning on raiding the HDD? 4k, @ ultra is still a bit out of reach really. That would make for an awesome 1440p rig though. PS4 I do not think can even do 4k.
