Hello. I had installed my OS on my old computer from an install disc I had bought from microsoft. I am now building a new computer and would like to know if I need to do anything with my current installation before I install on the new PC? I will not be moving anything from the old HDD.

Just install OS with the disk to your new machine. To activate windows just go to windows 8 support and talk (chat) with any expert, they will activate ur windows in the new pc.
Make sure you transfer ur data coz ur previous one will be deactivated.
