Solved

My computer suddenly freezes for a few seconds for and the it was okay for a few min and repeat

After about 5 minute it repeats and freezes, It froze for more then a minute then I restarted my computer. After that it wouldn't run after the start screen pop ups. I ran the windows startup to fix the problem and they couldn't find it. I am trying to start my computer normally, but it is loading everything slowly.

I am using windows 7.

After 20 minutes, I am able to load to my desktop Screen, then it completely shuts off my computer automatically.
To me, it sounds like i might have a virus, but I am inexperienced in this field. Can someone help me?
Thanks in Advance!

  1. What are your hardware specifications?
Without knowing too much sounds like your hardware might be hitting a thermal ceiling somewhere and is shutting down to prevent future damage. Check for proper operation of all cooling devices, and for airflow obstructions.

If you are sure that your CPU cooler has good contact with the CPU and that the thermal paste is applied properly the next logical step is to make sure that the DIMMs are seated properly.
If your CPU is overclocked you might want to back of your multiplier.
Other than that you might be spot on with the virus theory.
If you cant get the OS to run well enough to attempt virus removal you might have to try a fresh OS install. If it still has issues after this then you have narrowed it down to a hardware problem.
If you do go the route of re-installing the OS when you have everything set up the way that you want it be sure and make a disk image on some type of removable media so that next time you can save yourself a lot of work setting everything up. (there are some good tutorials on Youtube to show you how to do this)
Then get a good antivirus software and if your CPU supports it use a VM when browsing the interwebs and reading email. If you get a virus you can just collapse the virtual machine and start a new instance. no sweat
  4. start your pc in safe mode. if all goes ok then it's not hardware problem (thats good).
saw a lot of ppl with this froze problem and the common problem is nvidia driver (beta driver installed). Install last driver out ( do not install beta driver). what u got to loose :)
