Since you have 50Mbit service, you would need to select from the 100Mbit rated devices. Usually the Motorola SB modems are good. The SB6141 or SB6580. I would recommend you stay away from the the combined modem/router like the Netgear units. A cable modem can last through several router upgrades. Wireless changes frequently enough that separating the modem and router is a GOOD thing.
