Where can I find BIOS update?

I have a dc5800 PC that I upgraded the ram and CPU on. I would like to be able to find the location for the BIOS update. M/B is 2820h? -.-
I dunno, here's a SS of my msinfo32:

That's one of HP's Compaq PCs, so I would recommend going to the HP site...

It offers two BIOS options, the one included a Flash Application.. When selected CMD pops up with the message saying Cannot Run in Protected mode.

Or do you mean safe mode? Can´t you boot to normal Windows Desktop?

Yes. I work for a community center, and am updating. How do I get past this issue then? Also, I cannot find that I have HP Protect Tools anywhere in this PC.

BiosConfigUtility? Swsetup>SP42251>FlashI? Or swsetup>SP45672>ME Flash?
(FYI, I've run them all as admin.)

I need to update BIOS and microcode stepping, the stepping is off and the BIOS is old. It beeps and tells me the microcode error. Causing my fans to run at full speed, non-stop.

Burning a cd would be the easiest way. Download the second link with sp53609.exe and extract it. Burn the iso image to cd and boot from it.
There are lots of readme´s inside the packages, how to do a bios update.

well, burn the image to cd and all will be fine.
do you know how to burn an iso? It´s not just copying the .iso, you have to open it with a burning program like imgburn, open the iso and burn it with that.

you also could easily upgrade the BIOS by using HPQFlash directly in a Microsoft Windows
environment. be careful with this option, I do not recommend it, but if you can´t get along with the safer options, you should try that.

Thank you so much, helpstar. You really were a great help throughout! I did not have a DVD on hand and iso to USB was not working no matter what program I used. I had no idea about the HPQFlash. I used that and everything worked great!
