Hi I'm really interested in how network in this small office are connecting client computers, servers, router, switch & hubs....I've done CCNA but I'm not good at hub(is it like bridge) & also I don't have much knowledge about ''Plugable USB 2.0 Docking Client(Display Link)''. They're using Windows Multipoint Server 2012 Premium, Plugable USB 2.0 Docking Client(Display Link), Superspeed USB 3.0 hub(USB 2.0/1.1 COMPATIBLE) & router/switch(I think both router & switch are in one device)...I also want to know what kinda Ethernet cable is that??? U can see the Ethernet port on the back of Plugable USB 2.0 Docking Client(Display Link)....They've 40 client computers with 3 servers...Ok this is what I saw in their cabling...Ethernet cable(IDK if it's Ethernet cable or not) from Plugable USB 2.0 Docking Client(Display Link) is connected to one of the 7 USB ports of Superspeed USB 3.0 hub(USB 2.0/1.1 COMPATIBLE) & at the back there are two ports...I think one is for power & the another port(USB3.0) is for connecting to the server...Why is that hub's port connected to the server??? I thought Client Computers/Servers & network Printers are connected to the hub & hub is connected to the switch & switch is connected to the router, isn't it?
Anyway, Can someone PLzzzz explain me about hub & how they function?? Can we use bridge instead of hub in this kinda environment??? If not then in what condition is bridge used? Is Windows Multi Point Server 2012 important in this environment??? Also what is Multi Point Server 2012??? I mean server machine use
windows server 2012(which is the latest), isn't it??? Plzzzz help me in these things by explaining everything I mentioned here...Practically I've never done cabling in the field & don't have much knowledge about hubs that connects computers in this kinda environment....Are network printers connected to hub as well?
