Battlefield 4 CPU usage overload

I've been playing battlefield recently and a few weeks ago (I'll say 3) then one day I started my pc fumbled around for 3-4 hours (Youtube, other games, etc.) then searched for a game on bf4 and when I joined the fps and the overall full loading time was much higher than before, I shrugged it off and just did other things, next day I try playing BF4 immediately after I turn on my pc and to my surprise no fps or loading issues at all, I finish the game then leave it for a few hours (2-3) come back and boom, same problem. I then left it for a few weeks and it was still doing it so I tried to diagnose the problem (Which took me a few days :kaola:) and I've noticed as my PC is left on during the day (Bear in mind this exclusively happens to BF4) the CPU is showing a higher usage percentage (Using "PerfOverlay.DrawGraph 1" command on the console in BF4 showed me) and I have no idea how to fix this throttling.

Specs:
CPU - i5-3570K Turbo boosted @ 3.9GHz with stock cooler
GPU - Asus Direct CU II GTX 650Ti.
PSU - Cic 750W
HDD(s) - WD blue 250Gb and a 1T
RAM - Corsiar vengeance 16GBs @ 1600MHz
OS - Windows 8.1 up to date

If you need any more information I'll be happy to oblige.

EDIT: I have a Gyazo pic with the perfoverlay.drawgraph command on here: http://gyazo.com/3dac1cd77c5b85ece62f32015af21fb8

EDIT 2: the only way to reset it is to restart my PC.

EDIT 3: "I fixed it, my Steam client wasn't updating right so I ran it as admin and it updated then BF4 started working fine again."

check temps(therminal throttling) or maybe the multiplier is set very low, i had that once on my laptop, check the clock speed and temps during the lag.

Yes, I use AdBlock, Hola better internet, (For watching US/CA netflix) Better battlelog, Herp derp for youtube, and Reddit enhanced suite.

I use AdBlock Plus. It is supposed to work better. You may want to kill those extensions to see if it makes any difference. A bit of a long shot here though.

Of course you always have the option of re-installing your operating system.

As much as reinstalling my OS might be a solution, I'm not going that far, unless I can do it without having to reinstall everything I have on this PC right now. EDIT: Turning off my plugins did nothing, a long shot as you said.

It believe it was because steam was taking all of the cpu horsepower and bf4 seams to not stop it like other games or something, not sure but it fixed it and I know to clean boot if it ever happens again.

Google how to clean boot, what it does is mainly only start the pc without any programs you've installed. so it's "Clean"

How did you repair it coz mine has the same problem as your's. When I boot up my PC and play BF4 it runs smoothly. After a couple of hours after playing I play BF4 again but the FPS drops in between 18-20. I need to restart my PC again to run it smoothly. Any solution?

Battlefield 4 is a CPU hungry game man. I had the same problem with mine until I overclocked my CPU to 4.5 Ghz. Everything is working smoothly and I haven't had a problem ever since. If I were you, I would take advantage of having a "K" processor and overclock your CPU to 4.5 Ghz. But you'd need to have an aftermarket CPU cooler. Hyper 212 is a very good cheap CPU cooler that cools a lot better than stock CPU coolers. Try it out and give us a reply!
