This is my first time building a computer. I am planning to triple boot it. I want to make sure the parts I have picked out will work. I won't be using it for heavy gaming necessarily, but alot of computer programming and graphic design.

Like I said, this is my first time. So if you see any places where something is expensive and there is no need to spend that much, let me know! Thanks

Solution
So
Both of CPU and GPU are necessary, the GPU enable some options like fast rendering by GPU, adding somes effects and filters ....
I would suggest you saving money by :
- Taking only one 1 TB HDD, instead of three of 500 GB (save 70$)
- Don't buying the GT 610 (save 65$)
- Get a cheaper case (~ 40$)
- Get a non k CPU (save 50$) : i7 4790, or dropping the Wifi (Best solution if you don't need Wifi)
So that, you can get a GTX 770 ;)

So I shouldn't buy a video card?

Hi
Do you know that some softwares benefits a lot from a GPU, like :
- Blender (CUDA)
- Sony Vegas (OpenCl)
- Premiere/AfterEffects (CUDA)
- Photoshop (OpenCl)
- 3DSmax (CUDA)
- Maya (OpenCl)
....
So, what are the softwares that you use ?

^ 2nd to drop the 610 GPU. Either get a better card for ~$100 (if wanting to use for light gaming) or drop it entirely.

I'd also suggest a different PSU. Lots around here seem to recommend EVGA lately, or there are other good brands @ same wattage/price.

He's saying you shouldn't buy that particular video card.

I use PS, AfterEffects,Dreamweaver...etc. What would be a good GPU? ANd do you think that CPU is necessary? or should I go cheaper?

What and where did you change it? The PCPartpicker list in the top still reflects what appears to be the original post.

Are you concerned with color depth? One of the differentiating factors of professional and gaming video cards is how many bits they use to represent color. 10-8-or 6-bit color depth. Only a few high-end non pro models do this.

That probably is a deciding factor in whether you get a professional card or a gaming card where the latter is usually a lot cheaper for approximately the same configuration.

You could use some more memory and your choice of graphic card is poor. The Motherboard you have picked supports Crossfire. Get 2 crossfire cards of minimum 1gb each preferably more. You could also buy an SSHD directly from Seagate.

That would be true if the only change would be GPU's, For example it does not show 3930K with a Titan versus the 2 x 580 until then I credit the gains to the HEXA core CPU!
