I am going to be building a gaming pc soon, and for my first build, it will have an Intel Core i3-4160 CPU and a Radeon R9 280 (not the x version). Here is a list of all the parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Linkin506/saved/ZGjqqs
If you see any issues with anything or if the CPU and GPU will bottleneck, please tell me because I am pretty new to computers. And if you could tell me if the system I am building is good enough for gaming, and if you see any parts you would replace for around the same price, please tell me too.
Once I get more money and decide to upgrade, I will sell the CPU and GPU and get an Intel Core i5-4680k CPU and a MSI GTX 970 4GB GPU. If there would be any issues with the new CPU and GPU, like bottlenecking, or any other issues with he new parts and the system not being compatible, please tell me ( I will most likely be using all the same parts as my first build besides the CPU and GPU ). One more thing, if you could tell me if these two are the same GPU, please tell me because I looked it up on pcpartpicker.com and four different GPUs came up, I am pretty sure they are the same, but just in case, here they are:

Thanks a lot guys!

Solution

Yes you can get the i5 4690 or the i5 4590 is fine. Rest of the build is fine.
I think the best piece of advice for you would be to hold off until you can afford the second build you mentioned. Unless you have a trusted buyer for the old parts lined up, you will be losing money and from what I can tell you are short on that to begin with.

Also prices change all the time and your coming up on black friday/cyber monday and you might be able to get the rig you want at a much better price.

ok thanks guys, so I do get how saving until I can afford the second build is better, and only 1 person said that it would bottleneck, so what do you guys say, will the i5-4690k and the gtx 970 bottleneck? and if it does what can I do to fix it? also, do I need that new psu for the first or second build? if first, that's fine because I am saving like burdenbound said, if it is the second one, then that's fine

i5 4690k won't bottleneck any gpu.
