My budget is $450 so if there are any parts here that could be changed for better
gaming performance please post below.

I was wondering if this build would run games such as below at a decent FPS (30+?):
Battlefield 3 & 4
Call of Duty MW2 & Black Ops
DayZ Mod / Standalone
Garry's Mod
FarCry 3

I tend to prefer the G3258 over the Athlon since you could upgrade to an i5 or i7 later on

Quite funny you posted this.

A recent and shameless study by a certain company specialising in computer RAM showed that a memory upgrade could improve performance. You also have that company's RAM, and not enough of it ;)

Busted!

So I should get 8GB?

Yes. BF4 requires 6GB minimum. But if it's in your price range you should try to get higher frequency RAM too.
