Changed motherboard and now my build is louder, Hyper 212 evo is at 1600 RPM with a weird 58C temp in Speedfan

So recently swtiched form a gigabyte z87 d3hp motherboard to this evga z87 FTW boarrd[1] . I dont remember the temperatures for my old pc on idle but i can actually hear the fans on compared to an almost quiet build with my last motherboard.

Guess 1: The 58C temperature that speedfan reports here
ttp://imgur.com/N1IUh7F
is causing my hyper 212 evo to speed up. It averages around 1300-1600 RMP on idle. The moment it speeds up is very noticeable.

Guess2: motherboard VRM heatsink felt a little loose for some reason but i thought nothing of it. Maybe this is causing a temp spike?
I tried looking in bios settings for cpu fan speeds and they are set to SMART which i assume should control the fan based on CPU temp. I cannot change that option or at least i havent found out how.3

How should I go about this? I want my build to be as quiet as before.

Im currently installing all of my windows 8 drivers since I cant figure the problem out. Maybe that will fix it. If not I downloaded the newest bios version, I dont know what version my motherboard is so i'll be checking that out too.

That's fine. I personally like to spread it myself, but very similar results.

The two motherboards may have a different way of sensing temperatures. I have had chips post two very different values with the same components and performance (some mobo's read lower to make you feel they are doing magic to keeo your pc cool). Just adjust the fan to go slower at hotter temps than you are used to.

I finally managed to find out how to set fan speed according to CPU temperature. If only evga made it easier and actually put it in their manual or bios guide which was not even included. Thanks!
