Hi guys, I had a very nice friend who helped me come up with a build .. would love to hear what you guys think of it and if I should make any changes ..My budget is $1500 and will be using this computer strictly for school work ( Word/Excel ) , gaming ( WoW/LoL/CSGO/few other games coming out in 2015 ).. Looking to have this for 5-6 years until I feel the need to upgrade the parts. Let me know what you all think , thanks!

get 2 x 8 for the RAM, not 4 x 4. It's cheaper, gives better performance and it's more stable, especially for overclocking. And cheaper.

The Ripjaws might not fit under the hyper 212 - check.

Instead of RM PSU try evga Supernova 750 gold - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438027 $60

You generally want to run only one kit of DDR3. So either 1 kit of 4 x 4 or 1 kit of 2 x 8.
Even if it's two matching kits, it's not recommended to mix them. They test the ram in the same kit it's packaged in.

I think you should get either a MSI or Gigabyte GTX 970 card and you should go for the corsair and nzxt computer cases since they make the best cases in the market imo. Also, get a 2x8 for the RAM like Alec pointed out.

Other than the price difference is there any change on performance if i switch to the evga Supernova 750 gold?
And how do I check if it will fit? I'm very new to all this and this would be my first time building a computer so please excuse me if some of my questions sound odd.

PSU won't impact performance, but a better quality PSU will last a lot longer and create a more stable environment.

What's the difference of them? Aren't they all the same GTX 970s? Really new to all this so bear with me.

NVIDIA makes the chip, the rest make the board. The performance differences will depend more on the clock speeds than anything.

I see I see, so if i make all the changes : grabbing the better PSU, going 2 x 8 gb ram and the suggest case.. overall what do you all think of the build? Will it do the job or even exceed the expectation?

That's great! I will make those changes on the shopping list and hopefully will be able to build her up in the next month or two. Thank you everybody for your time and help, really appreciate it!
