I recently bought a motherboard called Asus Maximus Hero VII and it was running ok, installed all the systems, the drivers etc. but the problem is the ram. I have 2 Kingston 1333mhz 4GB here, but when I bulid the computer, I only installed one. after I put the other memory in my board, my cpu just won't boot up. it lights for a few seconds but evetually shuts down. I tested bought my memory and they seem to be ok. but when I put them both together on my board, my cpu just won't boot up. can someone help me, please?

Unseat the RAM and reseat it. Make sure that you place RAM in the color-coded slots so that they're paired.

Also try removing the new RAM stick, making sure it boots, and then switching the sticks (so that the one that "breaks everything" is the only one there).

you mean I should both place them in the red slots? my board has red-black ddr slots. sorry but I haven't had lunch yet so I'm a little confuse on your explanation.
