Upgrading Windows 7 Home Premium Retail to Professional Retail?

Hello everyone!
I'm currently setting up my new laptop with my business server, I bought the full retail version of W7 Home Premium without thinking it completely through. I need the Domain Join function of Professional and Ultimate.

My question is; If I buy a new retail version of W7 Professional, can I just upgrade without re installing the entire computer? And if so, can I still use the Home Premium version on another computer?

Since this was not specifically addressed above, the answer there is also yes. The retail version of Win 7 allows for installation on one system at a time. As long as there is only one system the retail version is running, it doesn't matter what computer (as far as licensing) so, sure, use it on another PC (but only one at any given time).
