how to determine the ip of a site?

the thing is i cant open some websites from my internet connection but i can open them from using some other internet connection pls tel me step by step procedure to solve this problem..................
P.S: i m using windows 8.1

If you want to know the IP address of a web site, simply send a ping to it and it'll give you the IP address of that site. Example:

Open Command prompt -> Type "Ping www.google.com" and press enter. AT the top it'll give you the IP address.

nslookup is the command used to query dns from the command line

as above, nslookup is the way to do it.

if you're on UNIX/LINUX then "dig" is a good command to learn too.
