For your build.....

Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard

For sure.

P.S.
I get astounding results on my pair of Asus R9 280 in Crossfire.
They were a low low price.
And thats using a low energy i5 chip (RoG Mo-Bo).
3DMark Extreme says faster than 93% of all tested computers on planet Earth.

Thats my backup gaming rig I let my lil uns use; but the R9 290X is triffic.

...and its right to at least go for a silver PSU.

I would go MSI 970 GAMING,6+2 power phase would be good with overclock, best Tier One-Class A 970 board you should go.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2384024/motherboard-tier-list-970-chipset.html

Motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£69.41 @ Ebuyer)
Total: £69.41
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you don't want to change psu,I would go GTX970 video card, like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GTX-970-Graphics-Express/dp/B00NOP536Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418262345&sr=8-1&keywords=msi+970
similar performance and low power used.500w will fine.

Advertised as;-
"The world's best AMD gaming motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX support"

Do you need 3-way SLI or CrossFireX ?
If not ,maybe really don't need that board...
CROSSHAIR V FORMULA will cost you £208.33 budget
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-crosshairvformula

msi 970 gaming only will cost you £69.41 budget, and support 2-way SLI and CrossFireX...

Good point.
But I notice he is going for 16Gb of RAM rather than a better PSU.
And the ASUS board has more Upgrades than an extra crossfire slot.
FAR More.

So with including both the unbalances, maybe you are right; but then again, how long is he planning to keep the PC? Is it really a throwaway item in 2 years and yet another motherboard replacement; or will he get into gaming and go 2-or-3-way crossfire eventually?

Only he has the clue.

well...he choose FX-8350,I think when he planning to build next pc,maybe he should build a new architecture cpu,so...for now,his build didn't need £208.33 board..... maybe he might as well go msi 970 gaming board with 970 sli would be better to get a £208.33 board..:)
