Hi I recently upgraded my graphics card from a HD 6870 to a sapphire r9 290 vapour x when my 6870 decided to die on me. Since upgrading my card i have decided to upgrade the rest on my machine slowly so i'm not bottlenecking my new GPU. Currently my system specs are;
Sapphire R9 290 vapour 4GB GPU
Phenom II x 4 965 CPU
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
8 GB DDR3 RAM
OCZ SilentXStream II 700 W PSU
I would like to replace my Motherboard and CPU and even a new fan for the CPU. I was thinking of;
AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 4.00 GHz CPU £137.99
ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AMD 990FX Motherboard £79.99
Zalman LQ315 Ultimate Liquid CPU Cooler £69.95
So i can upgrade everything i want for £287.93 is this a good deal? Is there any better hardware out for around £300 i could get or is this my best option? Also will my 700 W PSU handle all this hardware or would i need to upgrade that as well to something more powerful? I just not happy spending all this money without knowing i'm getting the best hardware for my machine that i can afford and will not bottleneck my GPU. Thanks Steve
