My audio has always been working properly, until I bought and installed the GT 640 into the system, since then my games have been running smoother, but as soon as I enter a game in maximised window or fullscreen mode the game audio, and voice chat audio just starts lagging. I don't think I have a sound card but the sound is being played through my speakers which is plugged into the rear audio jack. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!

Okay it seems more of a stutter? If that's what you call it, the audio starts distorting and lagging at the same time. I've tried listening through my earphones but the same happened. Is my Graphics card by any chance interfering with the audio?

Yes I can see it, I tried uninstalling it to see if it fixes the problem, the problem still occurs but not as often, but it still happens in games which gives it an unplayable experience because along with the audio lag it seems to be getting an FPS lag too, although the FPS slowdown doesn't happen often.
