I recently bought a new GPU which is the MSI Computer Corp. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Gaming OC 2GB GDDR5 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card N750TI TF 2GD5/OC. I am getting okay results from games, but I want to try overclocking. I have tried using afterburner but it will let core and memory go to 1000mhz. I'm not sure where I should stop at. And can I overclock my cpu? Also, will a better psu allow me to overclock more? Thanks. Specs:
AMD A8-5500, 6.00 GB ram(5.90 usable
64 Bit Windows 8
MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) Motherboard
Chipset: AMD A75 FCH
6 GB of memory
Power Supply
Internal 300W (100V-240V)
Form factor: Internal ATX
Total wattage: 300W
Nominal input voltage range: 200-240V/3A (50-60Hz)
Dimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

Solution
i wouldnt try any cpu overclocking with that mobo! , although overclocking your gpu a bit will still remain under the 75w limit your pcie slot can provide, even with a new quality psu, i still dont recommend doing so , since the only thing you will succeed in , is boosting cpu bottlenecking!
