Hi there, i recently built a pc consiting of:
-i5 4690k
-gtx 970 gigabyte gaming
-16gb corsair vengence pro 1600mhz
-840 evo ssd
-rm650 psu
-z97x-ud5h motherboard
All coupled with the LG 29um65 ultrawide monitor (2560x1080)

And everything is fine except for the fact that my gtx 970 is getting low fps. Its unigine heaven benchmark returned with a score of 1265 thats with tesselation off and on crysis 3 im getting <20 fps, for world of warcraft im getting 40-60fps its performing worse then my old pc.

Any insights on what may be the problem will be much appreicated.

did you get such frame rate using such res?

MSI afterburner while playing crysis 3

Yep its seated on 16x + sayes on cpu-z. I have installed 344.75 latest driver

GPU1 Power % = 60%
GPU tempreture while playing crysis 3: 55 Celsius
GPU usage: 99% constent (1392MHZ) boost clock
CPU: usage: 24%-54% across all 4 cores
Cpu tempretures: 48 Celsius
Memory Clock: 3506mhz ? (isnt this meant to be 7ghz. i.e 7000mhz)?
Mem usage 2.5gb

55 celcius seems really low to me.Under heavy load it should be arround 65-70 no matter the ambient temperatures etc. Although your Gpu clocks and usage seems fine, there might be problem with the memories. Not sure how much Memory Clock it should show since i never checked my gtx970 with msi afterburner.

Yeah i thought it was a driver issue at first but im nearly 100% sure that its got to do with a memory based hardware issue. I guess i will just exchange it for a new one today. Thanks for the help peoples!

So i have a screen shot here of furmark running with GPU-Z on the side:
http://puu.sh/d0Bm3/d14d5228d3.jpg

For the above the resolution is set to 1280x720 because the pc shop had it set at that resolution and they got the same fps as me.

Unigine Valley:
FPS: 82.8923
Min FPS: 35.4675
Max FPS: 155.354
Score: 3468.21

Unigine Heaven:
FPS: 50.6
Score: 1275
Min FPS: 25.5
Max FPS: 97.2

Both running at native 2560x1080 res
