In 2010, I bought computer parts to build a new computer. Here's the list of parts:
-Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield Quad-Core 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Processor BX80605I5750
-Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K2000 HDS722020ALA330 (0F10311) 2TB 32MB Cache SATA
-GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
-G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D
-SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX
-Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM

It worked just fine until my harddrive started lagging after years of downloading abuse. My friend recommended that I "defrag" and well, it got worse.

So I swapped the harddrive for Samsung 850 pro and did a clean install (I did NOT clone). It was working fast but it started crashing out of nowhere after 2 months. Sometimes it works for days without issues and sometimes it crashes three times a night even when I'm not even using it. Sometimes it just shuts down when streaming videos. I think I updated all my drivers too.
I also started using Linksys USB wireless adapter.

Where do I even begin to figure out what could be causing this issue? Are my parts just that old?? I would really appreciate any advice as I am not knowledgeable in this area.

Thanks!
