Hey Guys!

I am building my Mom a mini ITX pc for Christmas, as she has been dealing with half broken laptops and slow system her entire life. So i wanted to treat her with a little thank you, a new, small, silent, fast pc that will help her use Microsoft office, browse the web, and do emails etc. She does not game haha, so no GPU is required. I think i want to go with a nice i3, however if you think an AMD fx is better then give me your opinions! I like these cases...

Another focus is i want this pc to be silent, small, and look nice. My mom simply browses the internet, downloads movies sometimes, and uses Office. Also, a monitor would be good, nothing fancy, just nice color and resolution, no need for ultra quick response time.

I was thinking something like this...

Thanks so much in advance!

You cannot get FX in a Mini-ITX, due to no motherboards for that form factor.

We can't see your build with the link you provided...

The PSU is overkill being 550w, however it is the same price as the 300w unit I wanted to recommend (stick with XFX or Seasonic for a PSU). You have plenty of room for upgrading this rig down the road from a power perspective...

In all fairness, this would probably be sufficient, for what the system will be used for.

Thanks for the info! would the first system you posted be compatible with one of the two cases i mentioned? also, i do not need an optical drive, but want to give her a nice SSD, which i plan on buying during black Friday. Thanks again!
