I have a strong feeling it won't handle it that great but some suggestions for not-so-pricey upgrades would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :D

Specs
Processor: AMD FX-4300 Quad Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM: 8gb
PSU: 650w

Your CPU will bottleneck that card. What brand and model is your PSU? You want to be sure it is actually capable of providing its claimed wattage (and enough of it is on +12V) before installing that card.
More balanced upgrades would be a R9 270X or GTX760.

Your power supply should be enough, I would imagine it would have the required extra power connectors for the GPU.

I have the same motherboard as you, and I have the GTX 970. Your CPU should also be enough, you may have to OC it a bit in order to make up for some lacking performance.

I do not know your case so I am not sure if it would fit. But you can probably do the math and assumptions for that on your own. The RAM is still more than enough.
