Corsair H100i Refurbished is $64.99 and H80i $44.99 on Newegg. The reviews look great on both refurbished version.

If you happen to buy the refurbished model and it doesn't break I would say it's a decent steal. They should perform better than the Hyper 212 but I'm not sure by how much. Some say there won't be much of a difference, some say the Hyper 212 matches a H60 so they H80i would provide better performance.

Unless you plan to do some big overclocking a Hyper 212+ or Evo will be enough for you.

Define better.

Overall/max cooling performance - the h80i can probably handle a little more heat (vs a CM 212) if going for big overclocks.

Performance per $ - IMHO there is nothing out there that is better than a coolermaster hyper 212, especially if purchased for under $30. There are other similar performing air for similar $, but nothing I've seen stands out above the 212.

I've got an i5-2500K with a 212+ (that was the model at the time) and it easily handles an overclock to 4.4 GHz.

Flashy/bragging rights - water cooling. It's the cool thing these days, even if you can usually get better performing air coolers for less than a AIO/cheap watercooling setup.
