Control fan speed in pc?
I just got a new fan for my home build, however it runs at full speed by default, which is quite loud. The connector is only 3 pin, so there is no sensor or speed control. Is there any way I can slow the fan down

For example:
Can i reduce the voltage somehow so it doesn't get full power

Is there a adapter that allows me to plug two fans into the single 4 pin connection

Is there any other way im not thinking of

Ive already tried Speedfan and the bios screen to just alter speed, but it doesnt work

Solution
They do have adapters that will let you plug multiple fans into a single header; however, both fans will run at the same speed. Not really a big deal, just something to be aware of.

The other option is to buy a manual fan controller and use that ... can be kind of a pain, though, so personally I'd go the other route.
