Setting Ram speed on Asus M5A78L-M/USB

OK, first time on here so .......Hello to all.

As per the title i have the Asus M5A78L-M/USB motherboard running Corsair XMS3 4gb ram the ram specs state 11-11-11-30 1.5v @ 1600mhz but i cant get the motherboard to recognise any more than 1333mhz. could anybody supply a detailed, maybe even step by step on how to set this correctly on this type of motherboard?

Hi,

I take it you have gone into the bios and gone to advanced and set the memory to manual? that should then give you the option to change ram to 1600mhz if you still don`t have the option to set it to 1600mhz are your bios upto date? If you are still stuck post back.

I cant find anything that lets me change memory to manual, i have input the other figures i.e 11-11-11-30 but cant find anything to set mhz.

Ah, Could that be Memory clock speed? that lets me select 1000mhz, 1333mhz, 1667mhz, 2000mhz, and 2333mhz. Non of thos are an exact match but i guess 1667mhz is close. Is this the correct setting?

Its currently set on auto but does not seem to change from 1333mhz on cpu-z.
