Hello I have no experience or knowledge in RAM. I usually just buy the top selling one on newegg's list but this time I wanna get the best one for my computer because I am building a new setup but I don't know if I should stick with my old ram sticks or purchase new ones. I currently have g.skill ripjaws X 8gb 1600 ddr3 blue colored ones. I purchased these in 2012 so I don't know if their out of date compared to nowadays. Please help me out.

CPU: i5-4690k
H105 push/pull
gigabyte gtx 970
1250w gold plus seasonic psu
asrock z97 extreme6

Solution
For that, yes I'd go 16GB and in a 2xx8GB set, (less stress on the MC (memory controller) with 2 sticks than 4)...if you stay at 8GB the RJ X set is a good one

I am looking for whatever I need but I do heavy multitasking with alot of programs/window tabs open while gaming and watching videos at the same time. Would you recommend 16gb? If you do what about these because the price for these seem pretty good with google checkout which brings these to $60 each. Also, does my motherboard support these RAM?

Is there really that big of a difference between getting 4 stick 16gb or 2 stick 16gb ones? Because at the moment if I buy 4 sticks I save around 50-60 dollars.
