I am planning on upgrading my computer and am looking for help and/or suggestions.

I currently have: HP Pavilion p6-2014 and I have already added a GeForece GTX 550Ti graphics card and a TR2 600W battery.

I was planning on getting a AMD FX 8350, but recently on amazon the 8370 got priced at $170, cheaper then the 8350 so I bought the 8370 instead.

I am wondering two things. One, what motherboard would work well to replace my current one, my price range is around $150. Also, will installing the 8370 be any different then the 8350 because I have seen tutorials online for installing the 8350 but I haven't found anything for the 8370.

Solution
I'm not sure that many motherboards ship by default with the BIOS for the re-re-re-released AMD CPU's yet but I assume you have another CPU to put on there to update the BIOS if needs be? I would recommend either a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P, 990FXA-UD3, 990FXA-UD5 or if you can get hold of one, an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX rev 2.0, depending on your needs.

And installation will be exactly the same as an 8350, or any other AM3+ CPU :)

Thanks, this is my first time trying something like this so could I get the BIOS now and put it on a usb or hard drive or do I have to get it with the new motherboard.

You should be able to store the ROM on a USB pendrive or something and then use it to flash the BIOS once you have your new board if needs be. I would ask for help with that though once you select your new motherboard because I have personally never flashed the BIOS on a motherboard and I'm not sure of what media you can use to store the BIOS ROM, what format the media needs to be in, and what format the BIOS ROM needs to be in :)

I was planning on getting everything online, but would a store be cheaper, especially with black friday coming up?

I dunno mate, I'm from the UK and we don't celebrate thanksgiving so don't usually get black friday deals lol (although we are this year!) :( Yeah, the store I get my components from is an e-tailer, I just call them up and ask if it's possible for them to update the BIOS to the latest version :)
