Okay so this problem has been happening on and off lately. Mostly ON.

What happens is when I turn off my computer, and I try to turn it back on it won't completely boot up.

I get the screen that tells me which button to press to go into the BIOS or whatever, so that's normal.

Next, sometimes the screen just goes blank, shows a no signal sign, and the power button keeps blinking. Pressing the power button again will either actually turn on the computer (If I'm lucky) or will return to the previous state.

Also, sometimes I see the Windows 8 loading screen but then cuts to the no signal sign and blinking power button.

Hard reset has to be done. So if I hard reset maybe 5-8 times, the computer will finally turn on.
Also, restoring the PC will turn it back on for sure. I've done it 3-4 times already, but am sick of doing that.

I actually don't know if this is a motherboard problem, but I couldn't find a subforum for general PC problems I guess.

So please help! And thank you!

Desktop.

It was a bestbuy PC. I added an SSD and a new graphics card.

Intel Core i7 2600
ASUSTeK Computer INC. Motherboard (CM6850)
8GIGS of DDR3 RAM (4 sticks of 2GB)
GTX560 Ti

Forgot what power supply but I had it replaced in order to support my GTX 560 Ti

Thanks!

I replaced the power supply a few years ago and this problem has started happening since the beginning of this November. I did recently install the SSD, but the problem was present before I replaced the HDD.

I thought replacing the HDD would solve the problem, but it didn't. :(
