So lately I have been planning to buy and build my first gaming and overclocking and I have been eyeing the Gigabyte GA Z87X UD5H but it is $50 over my budget. Some people have recommended me the MSI Z87 GD65 and the Gigabyte GA Z87X UD3H are good for newbie overclockers. Can you guys recommend me a better and cheaper motherboard, I know this community is good and gives good answers.

Thank You,

In that budget I'll recommend:-
1.Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5--> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xgaming5
With 8+0/8+0 phase count good for overclocking
2.MSI Z97-GAMING 5--> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming5
With 4+1/4+1 phase count I think. But comes with doubler for increasing efficiency. So it is fine
3.ASRock Z97 Extreme 4--> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme4
With 6+1/6+1 phase count also good for overclocking.
Between these three my pick would be MSI because they all perform pretty much the same but MSI looks cool too at the same time.

I got a lot of recommendations for this one ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

I know ASUS is a good motherboard company, but would someone else care to chime in if a Gygabite or other brand would be better with this Z97 series?
