I'm not sure if this question is placed in the appropriate section, but anyway, I intend on getting an Enthoo Pro, which is a pretty big case that comes with 1 200mm fan in the front and 1 140mm fan in the rear. Since I wanted the front of the case illuminated in white, I was thinking about getting a Corsair AF120 white LED fan that costs $2 in a bundle, so I was wondering if I put it in the rear, would the white light illuminate the entire inside of the case and have a hint of white light coming out the front mesh? or would I have to place 2 120mm fans in the front to have a (better) effect? Or should I just buy a huge 200mm white LED fan and place it in the front and also buy a 120mm white LED fan and place it in the back? I really want white lights coming out the front and if possible lighting up the inside so I can see it through the windowed side panel. Hope this made sense and didn't seem too silly of a question. Ha, it's nice to hear someone so excited about a build. I myself started with only 2 blue LED fans for my rig with a side window. That was enough to make the inside glow a nice soft blue. I eventually wanted it brighter so I added a cold cathode in there. However, to answer your question for sure, yes one fan in the rear would have a soft glow emitted through the front.
If you place 2 LED fans upfront though, it'll be BRIGHT. Keep in mind that these are white LEDs as well so they're gonna shine. If you want soft light, one fan in the back is fine.

anyway thanks for the informative response, I'll definitely refer to it when making my decision. If i had to decide right now, I'd probably go full out and put fans both in back and front. But last question: for that case I chose, what do you think would look better? 1 200mm fan in front or 2 120mm? I honestly don't know how either would look due to complete lack of experience

Well looks matter a lot when it comes to building your own computer. I remember reading that from a Lifehacker article a while ago, you don't want to settle for something you have any problems with, this is a big investment and you're going to have to look at that thing every time you fire it up. You're going to want to have some pride in it, so do whatever is necessary to be comfortable with the way it looks.
That said, I looked up the Enthoo Pro and in my opinion.... I say 2 fans looks best. It'll also be more efficient for airflow. One big fan will take up more area, but it won't have as much air pressure pull as two smaller fans. Keep it cool! I have a Cooler Master HAF 912 case with side window and I run 2 fans up front. One is a blue LED, the other one is a non LED fan. I like it though.
