Hello!

One of my RAM sticks died recently and so I decided to buy different RAM to replace it. Problem is, after changing the RAM, my computer refuses to actually boot. If i plug in the monitor it just shows "No Signal". It works normally though when I go back the old RAM.

For specs, motherboard is AsRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3, CPU is i5 2500k, the RAM I'm replacing is Corsair Vengeance® Low Profile CML8GX3M2A1600C9, and the RAM I replaced it with is G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL. I foolishly forgot to look at memory compatibility for my motherboard before hand and now realize it isn't listed there, but was just looking for confirmation that it either is a compatibility issue or something else.

Thanks.

Solution
Try going in with the Vengeance DRAM, go to BIOS enable XMP and select the 1600 profile, then raise the DRAM voltage to 1.6 and save, shutdown, add the GSkill and give it a try

Oh, I'm not mixing them, I removed the Corsair before putting in the G.Skill, the issues i have are with just G.Skill RAM in the motherboard.

If you cant even enter the BIOS then either the ram is faulty or the its not supported just replace it with a vengeance as your old one.

Just put your old ones and make a bios update. Maybe you will be lucky.
