Asus Hero VII new build won't boot, please help!

Hello.

Just put together my second ever PC build(first was 2007) and it will not boot, mobo will run with all the fans. No video output and CPU LED is on. Here are the specs:

Asus Hero VII
Intel i7 4790k
650w gold Super Flower PSU
Corsair H105 cooler
Hyper X Fury DDR3 1866 8gb RAM
Crucial M500 SSD (240gb)
CM Storm Stryker case

I have assembled it this morning powered on and the above happens, but it doesn't have any video output. The chassis fans, H105i and gfx card all have power and run. I have since removed 1 stick of ram so its only running 4gb, removed the video card which is a Raedon HD5850 and the SSD with the same result.
I have also started the system without the CPU power connected and the CPU LED goes out, but obviously doesn't boot.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to try next as I am really gutted I have run into this problem after spending all this money. Starting to sh*t myself thinking that I have a bad CPU?

Edit: Qcode led on the mobo stays reading "00" all the time.

Edit 2: I have removed the CPU and checked the pins and that it was seated correctly, I have checked all connections which were OK. I ran the mobo outside the chassis with only CPU, PSU, and cpu cooler and still have the same issue. Also updated to the latest BIOS(2012) which didn't make any difference and then reset cmos to no avail....

Now I really am running out of idea of how to solve this and and thinking I am going to have to try and send the CPU and mobo back to Ebuyer, but I really CANNOT see them replacing both items as faulty???

Am praying someone on here has some magic knowledge to help me out.....

The PSU comes with 2 leads, 1x8 pin plug and 2x4 pin plug. I just fitted the 2x4 to the CPU supply and have the same result(CPU LED, no boot).
I was very careful with fitting the CPU and fitted in correctly(2 notches in the right place). It was quite hard to clamp in the socket, but I googled it and that appears normal with the LGA 1150?

Also I am running the stock BIOS because I've always been told to leave that alone. Is there a chance this could be causing the CPU LED error and can you even update the bios if the system won't boot?

Yeah you always have to press down hard when closing the clamp. I tried looking around and the only thing I found was that motherboard -might- be DOA. However just to make sure I would reassemble everything piece by piece reassemble it again. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

Yes I suppose removing the CPU and checking for damage is the next step although its taken my 4 hours to assemble today!

Why do you think it would be a dead mobo over the CPU?

Like I said its the only other thing I found with a similar situation although it may very well be the CPU. And yeah it's time consuming but you do what you have to.

Also to note I ran the mobo with no ram to see if I could get a code to come up, but it stays reading "00". Should this show an error or doesn't the mobo test the RAM in the CPU isn't responding?

I have just removed the CPU and checked the pins and that it was seated correctly(it was), put it all back together and ran it outside the chassis with just the PSU/CPU/cooler and still the same result, won't boot just sticks at "00" with the CPU LED on.

Something I didn't mention is that when I turn the mobo on it will run for 10-15 seconds then turn off and restart itself and then it will stay running until I turn it off. Didn't mention it because I thought this was the mobo checking its settings, but now I am not to sure?
