Hi,

I have this situation:
- Linksys router with local IP 192.168.1.1
- DHCP is distributing IP's starting from 192.168.1.100
- TP-Link access point with local IP 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.110 (I simply don't know which of two is the right one)
- DHCP on TP-link is disabled
- I'd like to change the TP-Links's local IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.2
- When I try to do this, I get this message:
Error code: 5008
WAN IP address and LAN IP address cannot be in a same subnet. Please input another IP address.

What am I doing wrong?

Could anyone help me on this?

Thanks!

Stefan

Solution
Usually you just leave the WAN as DHCP and connect the wired input to a LAN port when using a router as an access point. You would leave the address of the TP-LINK as 192.168.1.x
