4gb 1066 RAM vs 16gb 667MHz RAM for gaming?

Hello. I'm running Win8 Pro, but my Motherboard can only take 16gb across 4 slots, and only ddr2.

Right now I have 2x2gb 1066 240pin ddr2 (as well as the GB from my gtx750ti).

I usually run several things at once, such as pandora and usually a dozen chrome tabs, system monitors etc. and using Moo0 system monitor I can see that memory is now my bottleneck when gaming.

I'm wondering if it would be better to get 2x2gb more of the 1066 ram to make 8gb with what I have, or instead change it all out for 16gb of slower 667MHz ram. What do you think? Thanks.

Generally for current games max of 8 gb is required and most of the people preffer 1600 mhz but if you are using DDR2 then you must have a really old system with old processor so give us your complete system specification so than we can help.

Graphics memory does not stack with GPU memory or even between GPUs either - even in SLI/CF setups, each GPU only has access to its local RAM and mostly holds a duplicate set of the same data as all other cards in the SLI/CF setup.

I would not recommend to add another ddr 2 ram in this build upgrade your CPU,motherboard and RAM because i am sure you are getting some bottle necking using that GPU with your CPU.
