Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI wont do crossfire? is it an sli/nvidia board only?

Solution
On the Z97 mobos Asus is a step up on the other manufacturers, same as it was on the Z87 line. I'd go the Z97-A, have 6 builds on that model - all of which were great and with a variety of different components, from slower 1866 DRAM on up through 2800 sticks, from GTX 760 on through 780SLI, the A took anything and everything and did it well :)
