intel core i3 4130 and a evga GTX 750 Ti yet games are still lagging

basically I have tried playing the Mafia 2 demo and Minecraft and they both barely make it past 30fps or even 20fps sometimes. i only have 4gb ram which im planning to get more of (16gb) but it just seems ridiculous to me know. someone please help

Do you have the latest drivers for your 750ti?

Also you might want to monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures to see if they're overheating while gaming.

Even at 1440p he should fps far above 20-30 in minecraft.

Download GPU-Z, and if you have a 2nd monitor just put that on there and game on your current monitor and see if anything is getting bottlenecked. Or if you have a single monitor only, then just run the game in windowed mode.
