New System won't boot (I7 4790k, Hero VII)

Just put my new system together today and it will not boot specs are:

Asus Maximus Hero VII
I7 4790k
Super Flower 650w Gold
Hyper X DDR3 1833 8gb
Corsair H105

All the PSU, GPU, CPU fans and leds work, but the system won't boot, no beeps(can't find a socket for speaker so assume onboard), Qcode stays on "00" and "CPU LED" is on constantly.
I have updated to the latest BIOS, removed GPU, SSD, DVD, only 1 slot of ram, checked power connections, removed cmos battery and still won't boot with no monitor output.
I have started the mobo with the CPU power cable unplugged and the "CPU LED" goes out...

Really gutted as £800 worth of useless parts now and really don't know how to test further. Am thinking maybe I have a dead CPU, but don't know how to rule out the mobo?

I was very careful mounting the CPU, but am going to remove it to check the pins.

Does anyone have anything else I can try, what it could be??

Thanks for any help, Ben.

Have you triend with another GPU, another cable or another monitor? If not, do that first. If everything works but you see no image there is a great possibility that the GPU, monitor or cable has the problem.

Also, you can check by removing the GPU and connecting the monitor with the built in mobo graphics.

Its my old HD5850 that I have been using no problems for ages. The GPU, monitor and cable all work fine with my older PC.
I have also plugged the monitor into the mobo gfx port and get the same result. From what I understand the Hero VII will show different numbers on the qcode screen during POST/boot, but mine is staying on "00" so isn't doing anything.

I've just removed the CPU and checked the pins and that it was seated correctly which is was. Then put it back together and ran it outside the chassis with ONLY the CPU, CPU cooler and PSU connected and still get the same result(no boot, qcode stays on "00" and "CPU LED" lit up.

Any ideas what to do now?

Cheers

Check your RAM modules one by one. Just add only 1 module (if you have 2) and see if it works with either one. Other than that I, maybe your HDD has a bad boot sector and cannot be read and it just gets stuck.

Try the RAM thing first and report please. Also, make sure your mobo supports the RAMs and the speed.

Hi, I have tried swapping the ram about to different slots and changing sticks, but didn't make any difference. Its HyperX Fury DDR3 1866 2x4gb which should be fine for this mobo as others are using it. From what I understand the "00" means the mobo isn't detecting CPU activity so doesn't even begin to check the other components(the qcode numbers never change), is that correct? If it was checking ram I would assume a different error code would show when I started the system with no RAM installed?

The M500 SSD is brand new and unformatted, and the mobo should POST to the boot screen without and HDD shouldn't it?

thanks again.

Does the Maximus Hero VII have a LN2 switch?
