I have ripjaw x series Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 2x4 gb. I'm on an asus m5a99xevo. The best speeds and timings I can get it to run at are 10-10-9-28@1866 or 9-8-8-25@1600 which would b faster? Or any other ideas?

Solution
It can prob run 2000-2133, but it will depend on how loose of timings you need to use to run at that freq to determine if it is worthwhile, if you have to go real loose, then the lower freq/tighter CL will outperform the the higher freq

would the 11-11-30 @ 2133 or near that be better then the ones I suggested earlier? Including the 9-8-8-25 @ 1600 as mentioned earlier. I'm running it now at the 10-10-9 @1866. Sorry if I'm asking too much I just like opinions. Usually I don't do much overclocking. I have a fx 8350 and don't even have the stock turbo enabled lol. I do know how to overclock most things though and I do build pc's a lot.

The 11-11-11-30 @ 2133 didnt work but all I changed was the ram voltage to 1.65. The m5a99xevo has digi+vrm and I always set the settings to standard. My 9
8370 hits temos up to 62 which is bullshit with a tower heatsink and two fans :( Also if I remember correctly my mobo's max ram speed might be 2000. I could possibly try that lol
