Im having problems with recording gameplay on my pc. I can run any game on ultra with no problems but when I start recording my fps drop and I get alot of lag. Im using msi afterburner to monitor my pc. When im playing any game the cpu usage is at 80-90% and when I start recording it goes to 100% would a more powerfull cpu stop this and allow me to record without problems. Thanks in advance.
heres my pc spec if you need it.
psu---corsiar 1050w
cpu---amd a8 6600k
gpu---nvidia geforce gtx 970
ram---16g
motherboard---msi a78m e35

If you'd like to save some money, you could get an i5-4690K instead. It definitely won't bottleneck and it will have nearly the same performance an i7-4790K would have in-game. Granted, the render times won't be nearly as fast as the i7-4790K.

An FX-8350 (perhaps overclocked) would even solve it! But if you have the money for an i7-4790K, definitely go for it! Black Friday is coming up and I'll be expecting some clearances!

No problem! Please pick one of my answers as the solution too. It helps me and it helps anybody else who finds this thread via Google and would like to know the answer to this question.

Be sure to grab an aftermarket cooler as well for overclocking.

A little OC: Hyper 212 EVO.
Serious OC: Noctua NH-D14 or Cooler Master Nepton 240M

Before you decide on any of these, be sure they fit your case as well.

If you're not overclocking, you won't be experiencing heat issues with the stock cooler unless your case has poor airflow.
