Take out the GPU and plug the VGA to the motherboard - If it still does not work it means your RAM is the fault not the graphics card.
Make sure you clear the CMOS by removing it while doing it just to be sure.
What is the speed of your DDR2 RAM ? Motherboard only supports maximum of 1066 MHz.

I seen where you posted on the other thread with this board and you asked for help I wonder if you guys got a older revision board like as shown here at gigabyte and he got a new board that's the latest rev 2.4 and its got better support over the older ones and now more things work on it due to that??

GA-G31M-ES2L (rev. 2.4) rev. 2.3rev. 2.xrev. 1.x

well I can be 100% on that but if you got one of the older release boards it maybe it don't support newer cards or something on them prevents this in some way so they [giga] now comes out with a rev.2 then find something's up with it then they come oyt with a rev.3 and so on each rev support will not work on the others cause its all different across each revision..[ board set up in layout parts and bios ]

like the gigabyte 990fx ud3 rev 1-2-3 were not able to support newer release amd chips or found to be something then they came out with the 220w chips so again rev 1-2-3 could not support them so they had to release a rev 4 that gives full support for them chips [I hope you get what I'm saying here ]

so of the board you got we need to know what revision it is if its the latest then forget all I said cause you then got the latest one

like I say see your last bios update was 2009 for that rev.. and that card series was released in 2013 ????? like I said I don't know if that may be the deal but it mat be seeing vid cards are not as plug and play as they use to be due to uefi bios's even I see newer board higher end boards may not accept a card with out a bios flash if one is available for it to do so .. and this may come standard on the newest release of this board as in the rev 2.3 or 2.4 ???? this is what I think when the guy above said he got a new board and now it works for him????
