My acer aspire one laptop isn't getting passed Windows XP loading and it keeps saying

Sorry for your inconvenience, But Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software changed might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders. Choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what cause the problem, choose Start Windows Normally.

Safe mode
Safe more with Networking
Safe mode with Command Prompt

Last Know Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)

Start Windows Normally

Use the up or down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice Seconds until Windows starts: 30-1

It keeps going into circles. From this to Microsoft Windows XP loading to Acer Empowering People to a blue screen with words which only lasts like 2seconds tops. I can't see what it says.
I was using it and I let it died and charged it up when I went to sleep. I just got this acer last night used. The guy that sold it to me said it worked perfectly fine before he gave it to me. I tried to reset it to factory settings but it just keeps going into circle. I'm a broke college kid and I needed a laptop pretty badly. I'm pretty upset that it isn't working. Before I let it died I just got Google Chrome on it and only checked my Gmail and Facebook. My uncle took the battery out and put it back in and then I let it die again and charged it up and still doing this. Then I tired taking out the battery let it sit for 5 minutes then put it back in and tried to reset it. Still nothing. Please help me.

Does trying to load Safe Mode with Networking not work? Try it out. If you can get windows to load up, try running some tests like testing the HDD to see if it has any problems or try running a memory test.

Now this may or may not work for you, but a) if you are trying to load windows in safe mode and it gets stuck and you go to sleep wake up and its still stuck, possible hard drive failure, b) if you're trying to load and as its loading things the screen flashes that blue screen with walls of text, kills itself and resets, and if you try it to Safe Mode again, and it happens still, your memory is probably dead.

Again the above isn't absolute, but its a decent indicator of what might be wrong.
